Distinctive traits

Although hair loss or alopecia is a typically male pathology, women can also be affected.  In fact, each time more because of the life rhythm and stress dominating contemporary eastern culture, women suffer the loss of one of their aesthetic attributes by excellence: hair.

But hair loss has a clear difference between men and women.  This is due to the particularities conferred by the action of sexual hormones, the basis of a group of processes that develop differently in the male and female organism.  This is easily observable for specialists, who warn, nevertheless, that there are other factors that influence both equally.

The first of those differences, is that female alopecia has two critical stages during life.  Those moments are, in fact, marked by a hormone function. Which are they?

Hair loss is commonly seen in women during post-partum.  The hormonal reordering caused by the function of procreation affects in many women the hair health, although not permanently.  In the 3 to 6 months following childbirth, this disorder tends to go back to normal and the mother’s hair enjoys the usual health and beauty again.
