For losing weight

In this article we will speak of the two main reasons for which people follow special diets: loose weight and control sodium. We will try to provide some practical advice, but we must state that this will not suffice for avoiding an always recommended professional consultation.

If your objective is loosing excess weight, there are various things you should take care of. Nutritionists generally advice eating many times a day. Why? Because this is how you get a double benefit:
• For avoiding hunger, since the stomach is not left empty for too long.
• Produces an extra energy consumption, due to the metabolic activity needed to digest.

This is the main reason why experts propose diets in which foods are eaten at least 4 times a day, instead of spreading the same amount of food in, for example, two: lunch and dinner.

We must also know that during the first part of the day is when most of food’s energy is consumed. That is why it is recommended to give a greater importance to breakfast and lunch, and to eat less during dinner.

A common mistake is that for loosing weight it is necessary to eat less. People believe that if they drastically decrease the amount of food the eat they will loose weight quickly, but this is not always true. Why? First, because the body can quickly adjust to the new amount and start to accumulate reserve fats. In the following part we will speak of the second reason.
