Understanding Currently, stress related problems affect all types of people. We all speak about it but, but are we able to define it? Stress is an automatic reaction of the body when facing a dangerous situation, being an illness, responsibility, trip, etc. This reaction activates brain neurotransmitters, hormones, etc. When we face a new situation, we become alert, our hands sweat, the heart beats faster, blood pressure raises and adrenalin increases. This is normal since our body, with this reaction to the new situation, gives us strength and makes us alert for facing it. Stress is part of our lives, we have all experienced a stressful situation when speaking in public, going to an unknown place, driving our car for the first time, traveling, etc. Stress is prejudicial for health when we don’t control it.
