Consume Although work has always been present in humankind, it is today when we can see how the workforce governs the world through fierce economic interests, proposing to humans a new form of slavery: that of our own needs. The overwhelming rhythm of modern life can make us loose the objective of work as a cultural way of earning, always subordinated to wellbeing and health and not against it. In fact, the modern world is an immense labor market, production, services and –above all- consume. The great economic interests serve themselves from the workforce without taking into consideration the deep social repercussion they can cause. That same workforce transforms into a consume force, and here is where the productive cycle closes perfectly, with immense benefits for those who spin the never ending economic cycle. Humans work to fulfill their needs and that of their family…But how many of the needs proposed by advertising in mass media are truly essential? |
